What about Wellness Programs?

PPACA incentivizes employers to maintain a healthy workforce. By gaining baseline health information via surveys and physical exams, health insurance carriers and employers can work hand-in-hand with employees to encourage healthy behavior among employees. Employers who offer smoking cessation and weight loss programs, for example, are eligible for financial benefits and premium reductions. The small business Workplace Wellness Grants, funded by $200 million, are in effect 2011-2015.
